Commentaire : Corallum free-living. Each coral with usually one, centrally located mouth (monostomatous). Corals are either discoidal or they consist of regenerating fragments with a lobed outer margin. Shape can vary from flat to highly arched. The coralla are thin. The length of the central fossa is 1/12 to 1/9 of the corallum diameter. Colony maximum diameter generally < 15 cm. In unbroken coralla the septa are loosely packed and straight. In regenerating specimens the septa are not straight, but bend towards the clefts in the lobed corallum margin. The septa are thin and almost equal in thickness. The septa of lower order cycles are solid and more exsert than those of higher orders. Corallum wall solid and devoid of granulation. The costae are alternating in height and thickness; the lower order cycle costae are flanked by younger ones. The costae are normally straight and always distinct near the corallum margin.
