Commentaire : Corallum free-living. Each coral with usually one, centrally located mouth (monostomatous). The coralla are either discoidal or regenerated, wedge-shaped fragments with a lobed outer margin. The central fossa is very short: its length is only 1/15 to 1/12 of the corallum diameter. Colony maximum diameter generally < 10 cm. Septa almost equal in thickness and very tightly packed, with almost no space in between them. Septal dentations fine (>10/cm). Corallum wall solid and devoid of granulation. The costae are equal in size, straight and fine but distinctly discernible from the centre to the corallum margin. All costae are finely ornamented with granular, acute spines. Granulations on septal fringe predominantly arranged in rows, perpendicular to septal margin. The septal margins are ornamented with fine and sharp granular dentations.
